10 Make-Up Tricks You Must Know

By M Tudor

Couldn't figure out the perfect way to apply make-up? Don't worry! That's why we're here!
Make-up
1. Dusting light powder down the bridge of the nose makes it look thinner also when applying a darker color at the tip of the nose makes it appear shorter.
2. Instead of fully lining the lips, draw a sideways-V shape on each outer corner. This will make your lips look fuller and more natural than overall lining.
3. Apply mascara only on the outer upper corners of the lash line, it lifts the eye and makes it look more open, in addition more natural.
4. Brush your lips softly with a toothbrush before applying lip gloss and the lip gloss will stay on longer.
5. Applying black eyeliner just half way under the eyes and an top lash line will make your eyes look bigger and sexy.
6. If you apply blush/bronzer closer to the center of your face, it makes the face look longer and slimmer, whereas applying bronzer/blush near the ears and away from the nose/center makes the face look wider.
7. Put some green make-up on red pimples before applying concealer to help reduce the obvious redness.
8. Apply eyeliner to top lash line to make eyelashes look thicker and longer.
9. Apply Vaseline® to lashes at night to make them healthy and fuller. You can also apply it in a way that your lashes are curled in the morning. Just create a curl on your lashes with the Vaseline® and they should be kinda curly in the morning.
10. Too much foundation can make your skin look worse. Don't exaggerate, less is more! ;-)

How to Apply Eye Makeup ( Without Gouging Your Eyeballs )

By Sue Harper

There are lessons you don't have to be a rocket scientist to learn - why it's ecologically friendly to marry a divorced man, for example, or why the chicken felt compelled to cross the road, or how to apply eye makeup. If you're new to the makeup scene, and couldn't use mascara or eyeliner without poking an eyeball, here's how to apply eye makeup without blinding yourself.
1. Shape your brows and curl your eyelashes. Anyone who knows how to apply makeup understands the drama only curled eyelashes can create.
2. Apply eyeshadow base all over your eyelids. Let this set.
3. Sweep the eyeshadow of your choice onto your eyelids, using techniques that best enhance your eyes.
4. Line your eyes with eyeliner. This might be a difficult task if you're not an old hand at makeup so proceed with caution. Eyeliners can be vicious little things. They can irritate the eyes or smudge up so bad you would look like a raccoon.
5. Brush powdered eyeshadow over the eyeliner, using a liner brush of the same color. This will help you retain the color longer.
6. Dust your eyelids with a little pressed powder, but be careful not to sprinkle any on your lashes. Then, allow this to set.
7. Finally, curl your lashes one more time before applying a coat or two of mascara.
See? Learning to apply makeup on the eyes is easy. With patience and the right product, you would be able to master not just how to apply eyeshadow but how to do so beautifully and efficiently. So really, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to apply eye makeup, or that the only reason it's ecologically responsible to marry divorced men is that in a world where women outnumber men, it pays to recycle.

Look Naturally Beautiful With the Right Foundation Makeup

By Sue Harper

Chic French women do not wear makeup. At least, they would like to appear as if they don't. The goal is to glow, with highly polished skin and almost invisible pores. "Le bare face," French Elle describes it, touting nude, slightly shimmering skin as the new "it thing" in the beauty front. The key to the French's le no makeup look? Good foundation.
A Little Goes a Long Way Foundation, when chosen and applied correctly, gives skin a dewy glow or a soft matte finish that is completely natural and refreshing to look at. When it comes to foundation makeup, however, minimalization is key. Many women make the classic mistake of using too much foundation. This makes skin appear streaked and pasty, and they end up looking like they slapped dough onto their faces.
Foundation Types There are many types of foundation, in as many colors and ingredient variances. There's cream powder that comes with good masking abilities; thick cream foundation, used for denser coating and is recommended for heavy use in winters; foundation mousse and liquid foundation which provide a light, semi-transparent effect; mineral foundation, which is celebrated for its healthy components; and the tone cream-stick, which is perfect for uneven skin with obvious imperfections but accentuates wrinkles and crow's feet.
Color-corrective Foundation? Then, there's color corrective foundation makeup, which can be worn under normal to change the skin tone. It's highly effective at boosting your color or toning down redness. Lavender foundation rejuvenates sallow skin, and perks up tired eyes. Green foundation tones down rosiness, and is perfect for those who blush almost as often as they breathe. Apricot foundation, on the other hand, is a great beauty enhancer, particularly during winter when dull skin needs a subtle glow. Meanwhile, if you need to look all cute and goddess-like for a special night out, try white makeup for an eye-catching glow. And no, you won't glow in a glow-worm way.
Remember, good makeup is one that looks like you've gone out au naturelle. Beauty should appear natural, not contrived. After all, to borrow the words of Yves Saint Laurent, "The most beautiful makeup for a woman is passion." I agree! Passion is the most beautifying of them all. Cosmetics, however, are easier to come by.

New Year , New Hair Cut

By Joanna Steele - Perkins

A new hair cut can give you a new lease of life and increase your confidence but equally a bad or unflattering cut can do quite the reverse. If you are considering changing your hair style , it is worth putting some thought into it before visiting the hairdresser.
Sweep your hair away from your face so you can see it clearly and assess your face shape. This is a good starting point because certain styles suit different face shapes to varying degrees of success. For the sake of simplicity I have divided different face shapes into the following five categories: Oval, Square, Rectangle, Inverted Triangle and Round.
1. Oval. If you have a balance oval shaped face you have more choice as most hair styles will suit you.
2. Square. If you have a square face, hair styles that soften the outline of your face will be more flattering. Avoid straight bobs and straight fringes as these will accentuate the shape of your face.
3. Rectangle. If you have a long narrow face, softer layered styles will at width to your face. Avoid straight long hair as this will make your face look longer. A fringe can make your face look shorter.
4. Inverted Triangle. By adding volume and interest to your jaw line you can balance your face and make the upper part look less wide and the lower part less narrow. Fringes should be light and volume on the top avoided.
5. Round. Angular cuts are better for a round face and round bobs or a tightly perm should be avoided.
Other factors that need to be considered are your age, the texture of your hair (thick or fine) the colour and whether or not it has natural wave or is dead straight. Some styles just won't work with some hair textures and while you do want to look up to date, your hairstyle needs to suit your age and lifestyle.
An Image consultant can help you with choosing the right colour and style to suit you and most good hairdressers can advise you on what styles will suit your hair type. It is worth looking at magazines and finding pictures of hair styles you like. You can cut these out and take them with you so your hairdresser knows they type of thing you want.
Don't forget that once you leave the salon, it will be up to you to restyle your hair every time you wash it. The cut must suit the amount of time you are prepared to put into styling it at home. If you are busy and have no time or interest in spending hours drying your hair, this is an important consideration. Your hair may look lovely but will drive you insane with upkeep.

Things to Remember Before Selecting a Shampoo

By Jishnu Raj

Most of the shampoo ads that you see give false statements. People do not know much about the ingredients that are used in the shampoo so they are mislead. When selecting a Shampoo check their cleansing qualities and abilities. Rest of the work is done by conditioners. Some of the points that you should know before selecting a shampoo are:
The first thing you should see is what ingredients are added in the shampoo. Next important thing is that all the manufacturers say that their shampoo is only natural or organic. But if you see most of the shampoos are detergent additives. The herbs and fruits extracts or vitamins and other natural or herbal ingredients are not very effective. All the natural and herbal ingredients are necessary but for cleansing they are not really important. Third important thing is that shampoos do not fortify, restore or nourish the weak hair. The ingredients that are in the shampoo remain on the surface of hair for sometime. The ingredient that promotes hair growth is Minoxidil which is usually not added in shampoos. The next important thing is that you should not give importance to the color of shampoo. The color of shampoo is made with special additives; this is done just for the look of the shampoo. Manufacturers think that color may attract people to buy their shampoo. The last thing is that of washing the hair. Cleaning of hair does not depend upon the amount of shampoo you apply or thickness of foam. Foam is very important.
Foaming is done with the help of detergents and so it is added in shampoos to clean the hair. The various types of detergents are Ammonium Lauril Sulphate, Ammonium Laureth Sulphate, Natrium Laureth Sulphate, TEA Lauril Sulphate and TEA Laureth Sulfate. Ammonium Lauril Sulphate is mostly used in cheap shampoos and shower gels. The last three detergents are mostly used in high quality shampoos.
Before selecting a shampoo do remember certain things:
Choose a famous brand shampoo only. Take a look at the Manufacturer's label. See what ingredients are added in the shampoo. Cheap detergents may spoil your hair after several washes. Avoid using such types of shampoo. Don't change the shampoo if it suits you. Experimenting with hair is allowed but that person is the one who suffers as his/her goes dry. It is not only shampoo that makes your hair weak. But also other things like hypovitaminosis, asiderotic anemia and irritation of alimentary canal.

Skin Care Tips For Women of All Ages

By Kim Nguyen

Is there a single skin care tip that applies to women of all ages? Yes there is. Is it possible to delay signs of aging even if you are over 50's? Yes it is. Continue to read to the end of this article to find out what you can do to safe guard the youthfulness of your skin into the ripe old age.
When I was in my teens I was fortunate enough to meet my 10th grade teacher. She was one of those teachers that looked absolutely glamorous even on her bad days. I always admire the way my teacher dressed and the way she wore make-up. More than once she told us "do not make too strong facial expressions and do not laugh too hard that shows all of your teeth". Well I did as I was told but I really did not understand exactly why I should not laugh too hard that showed all of my teeth nor why I should not make too strong of my facial expressions.
Years later I found out that if you laugh really hard, lines will be formed on your face at a very early age as well as when you make too strong of facial expressions too often, very likely that you will have deep lines form on your forehead and in the middle of your browse at a very early age also. Some of my friends when they talked, even there were no drama in their speeches, they seem to have permanent frowns on their forehead. Try as they might, the frowns did not go away. They have become habits to some.
So if you are in your 50's, your chances of reversing lines are probably not as effective. But you can still apply these advices as they are timeless.
If you are in your 30's and are reading this article, see if you can stop your habits of frowning and/or laughing way too hard for your face.
If you are in your 20's and are reading this article, you will want to stop the same habits and also to apply sun screen whether or not you are going to be exposed to the sun.
So the single most important skin care tips for women is getting yourself into a habit of using sunscreen for your face and your hands. Use it often and use it way early on in your life. One word of advice about choosing the right sunscreen is to make sure it has zinc oxide in it. Do not use any sun screen that has oxybenzone as its ingredients. Walgreens and CVS do have sunscreen products that have zinc oxide as main ingredient.

How to Make Sure You Buy Body Lotion That Actually Works

By Caroline Richie

Do you just want to buy body lotion that makes you smell nice, or do you want to buy body lotion that actually makes your skin more youthful and healthy? If you chose the latter, then continue reading to learn how to do just this.
Some body lotion products that are meant to be used to smell nice, and maybe to moisturize too, can actually be more harmful than helpful for your skin. Fragrances are often added to products, and are made with chemicals and toxins that could potentially harm your skin.
If you really want to benefit from a body lotion, then you'll buy a body lotion that actually reverses the natural aging process and keeps your skin youthful longer. Because let's face it, we all wouldn't mind looking young again, right?
In order to keep your skin youthful and vibrant, you need to buy body lotion that addresses the major causes of aging. Without doing this, you'll won't be able to stop aging signs from forming and making your look older than you really are.
The most common cause of the development of aging signs is a lack of collagen and elastin protein in your skin. Each and every year as you get older, the amount of collagen and elastin in your skin diminishes. And unfortunately, collagen and elastin are the structural proteins that keep your skin firm, elastic, tone, and age-free.
But if you buy body lotion that contains ingredients that encourage collagen and elastin production, then you can keep your skin youthful for years to come, and even smooth out wrinkles and other aging signs that have already developed.
One of the best boy lotion ingredients to look for is CynergyTK™. This breakthrough new ingredient is a one-of-a-kind. It actually has been proven to stimulate the natural production and regrowth of collagen and elastin inside on your body. As a result, your skin well be able to stay firm and elastic, which means you can kiss wrinkles and other ugly aging signs goodbye!
Don't just take my word for it though. Buy body lotion that contains ingredients like CynergyTK™ and experience it for yourself. I invite you to learn more about CynergyTK™ and other powerful anti-aging substances by visiting my website listed below.
